Welcome to “Don’t tell me I can’t!”

The mantra for thousands of kids each year who participate in a creative problem solving competition. They overcome impossible challenges with fierce determination, grit, leadership and let’s not forget, fun-filled memories to last a lifetime.

Where kids create, brainstorm, work as a team, build amazing structures, make their own costumes and compete with thousands of other teams around the world in an unstoppable adventure called Destination ImagiNation!

Our documentary follows 5 teams from Southern California to Knoxville, Tennessee giving us and the world an opportunity to find their own creative spirit while watching their antics, tears, fears and adulations.

About Destination Imagination:

Destination Imagination is a worldwide competition for kids and young adults ages 5 to 25 who work as team. 160,000 kids and young adults from 30 countries in 18 languages take part developing, building and presenting solutions to real problems. Each year in September, DI releases 6 challenges in the categories of Structure, Science, Improvisation, Technical, Fine Arts and Social Outreach. Kids decide which challenge they would like to solve and create a presentation that they perform at the Regional, State and finally Global levels. With 8 minutes to present their solution, as long as they follow the rules, they are free to pretty much do whatever they want! 1.3 million alumni, 12 million who have known, heard or participated in DI, 35,000 volunteers over the past 26 years, the numbers are mind-boggling!
